Weekend Training in ‘Acting & Stagecraft’ – for 16 years and above
TIP 16 Plus works best for professionals and students who wish to start theatre work but can find time only on weekends. Spread over 3 months (11 weekends/22 sessions), TIP 16 Plus will introduce you to the theory and practice of theatre-acting and stagecraft. Due to theatre’s innate interdisciplinary nature, the training module, moving from idea to script to performance, will cover basic essentials of story-development, playwriting, stage-management, design and direction; apart from its primary focus on the actor in you. TIP 16 Plus will take you through a bit of history too – from theatre’s evolution and its early world practices to the cutting-edge, contemporary methods implemented today in different parts of the globe. It will also encourage you to develop imagination and ability for critical evaluation, interpretation and cultural understanding of the material and tasks given to you, all leading to a work-in-progress performance at the end of the program.
